What are peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as signaling molecules throughout the body. Different peptides are studied for roles in metabolism, tissue repair, hormone signaling, immune function, and other biological processes.
How do peptides work?
Peptides can bind to specific receptors and send signals that influence particular biological processes. How a peptide works—and the evidence supporting it—varies considerably from one peptide to another.
What are peptides commonly used for?
Depending on the specific peptide, people may encounter them in areas such as metabolic health, body composition, recovery, skin health, and hormone-related care. Some peptide medications have FDA-approved uses, while many peptides promoted for wellness or longevity remain investigational.
Are peptides FDA-approved?
Some peptide-based medications are FDA-approved for specific medical conditions, but many peptides discussed in the wellness and longevity space are not FDA-approved. An investigational peptide should not be presented as proven safe or effective for treating a medical condition.
Are peptides safe?
Safety depends on the specific compound, dose, source, medical history, and other medications being used. Potential risks can range from injection-site reactions and gastrointestinal symptoms to more significant drug-specific adverse effects.
What are the potential benefits of peptide therapy?
Potential effects depend entirely on the peptide and may include changes in appetite, metabolic signaling, body composition, recovery, or other physiological functions. The quality of clinical evidence ranges from well-established for certain approved medications to very limited for experimental peptides.
How are peptides taken?
Many peptide medications are administered by subcutaneous injection, while certain products may be available in oral, nasal, topical, or other formulations. The appropriate route depends on the compound and should follow the instructions for the specific medication or product.
How quickly do peptides start working?
There isn’t one standard timeline. Some effects may be noticeable relatively quickly, while changes involving body composition or other longer-term outcomes can take weeks or months—and some investigational peptides have not been proven to produce the claimed effects.
How long do people use peptides?
Duration varies significantly depending on the peptide, its intended purpose, response, and safety considerations. Some approved medications are designed for ongoing treatment, whereas investigational peptides may have no medically established treatment duration.
Do peptides need to be cycled?
Not necessarily. “Cycling” is commonly discussed online, but there isn’t a universal rule that peptides should be used for a certain number of weeks followed by time off; recommendations need to be specific to the compound and supporting evidence.
Can peptides be combined with each other?
Multiple peptides are sometimes used together, but combining compounds can increase uncertainty around interactions and side effects. More isn’t automatically better, particularly when combinations haven’t been adequately studied in clinical trials.
What is a peptide stack?
A “peptide stack” generally refers to using two or more peptides as part of the same regimen. The term is popular in wellness and fitness communities, but a named stack doesn’t necessarily mean the combination has been clinically studied or medically validated.
What side effects can peptides cause?
Side effects vary by compound and may include redness or irritation at an injection site, nausea, headache, fatigue, appetite changes, or other effects. Certain peptide medications carry more serious risks and contraindications, so safety information should always be reviewed individually.
How should peptides be stored?
Storage requirements vary by product, and some peptide formulations require refrigeration or protection from heat and light. Always follow the manufacturer’s or dispensing pharmacy’s instructions rather than assuming every peptide has the same storage requirements.
How do I know which peptide is right for me?
There isn’t a single peptide that’s appropriate for everyone. The decision should consider your goals, medical history, medications, potential contraindications, available clinical evidence, and whether the product is an approved medication or an investigational compound.
Is the GLP-1 regimen complicated or painful?
Not at all. You’ll be sent a self-injection video. You sanitise the injection site with wipes we provide and inject weekly, an inch to the left or right of your belly button at a 45-degree downward angle. The injection is similar to an insulin syringe and smaller than anything a doctor has poked you with. You’ll barely feel it.
Do GLP-1 medications have side effects?
Other weight-loss products often cause nausea and vomiting. Out of 158 clients so far, none have experienced side effects worse than mild constipation, which is why we recommend laxatives to help cleanse the system. Any medication can cause side effects, and these are reviewed with you during your medical screening.
Do I need to change my diet or daily routine?
These products are not a cure-all. You’ll lose weight slowly if you continue unhealthy living. If you make a handful of simple changes to your diet and lifestyle, you’ll have far better results.
What dietary and lifestyle changes do you suggest?
1. Drink far more water. 2. Adopt intermittent fasting. 3. Don’t eat late at night. 4. Avoid complex carbohydrates and ultra-processed foods. 5. Avoid sugar, salt, and fried foods. 6. Exercise more.
Can’t I just order cheaper products online?
This is genuinely risky. A large share of websites and clinics are not legitimate. Work with an organization like Wellness Concierge: we speak with you to answer questions in a free consultation, do a free medical screening, and obtain product from well-known United States manufacturers, randomly testing batches and comparing batch numbers against pre-testing done in their labs.
How do I reach you with other questions?
Email info@wellnessconciergecare.com or call and text 424-902-0025. We typically respond within four business hours.
How do I pay for my order?
We accept Zelle and Venmo. Choose your method at checkout and the payment details appear on the next screen and in your confirmation email.
Why do I need to put my order number in the payment note?
Zelle and Venmo payments arrive separately from your order, so the order number in the memo is what lets us match your payment to your order. Payments sent without it cannot be matched and will be delayed.
What happens after I place my order?
Your order is placed on hold and your items are reserved for 72 hours. Once we confirm your payment, it ships, usually within one business day.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is free anywhere in the United States. We do not currently ship outside the US.
Do I need to complete the eligibility questions?
For our GLP protocol, Tirzepatide, yes. That starts with a short set of medical questions so our clinical team can review your history before anything is dispensed.
Can I order more than one protocol at a time?
Yes. Add each one to your cart and check out once. Send a single payment for the full order total shown at checkout.
More questions are added regularly. Contact us if yours isn’t answered here.
